If I had ignored the reviews saying this was too difficult, I'd saved a bunch of money buying the other rogue-likes, as I had my eye on this for a while. Maybe it didn't exist before the June update? As I have some other games I invested a lot of time in which are difficult, I didn't want this to be also difficult, but I am finding the easy mode is challenging enough while staying on the casual side, and might make me want to sink my teeth in the harder mode later.

The other thing I am surprised to see is people saying this is difficult, and I was actually put off from buying this by those comments. You lose the loot in the mission you fail, but you keep the rest. Everything else stays, you are not starting over the map, you keep your base upgrades and your spec.

Guns are pretty much the only progression that resets in this, and the point of rogue-likes IS that some progress is reset.

Honestly, I am a bit surprised by some of the reviews, although I note they were written before the latest major update in June.įirst off as a rogue-like, I am surprised at people commenting that you lose your guns when you die.
